Events Diary - July & August 2010
This monthly Churches Together in Melton Mowbray (CTIMM) Events Diary, is distributed with all member churches own notices. CTIMM events are printed in bold. Other events are hosted and/or supported by individual member churches, to which everyone is warmly invited.
Saturday 3rd July - CREAM TEAS
3.00 to 5.00 pm at 28 Middle Lane, Nether Broughton. Cream Teas at the home of Margaret & Phil Dorn with a Cake Stall, Tombola etc. Music from the Old Dalby Trio. All proceeds for Action for Children.
Thursday 8th July - PRAYER LOUNGE: FROM DARKNESS COMES LIFE
8:30 am to 8:30 pm at Melton Mowbray Baptist Church. The prayer lounge is essentially a space for people to come and spend some time with God. The theme is entitled 'From Darkness Comes Life' and is based on the creation story; a prayer guide leads individuals on a journey around a series of stations based on the creation story as recorded in the opening chapters of Genesis. Individuals are invited to come for as long or as little as they can manage throughout the day - typically 30-60 minutes is needed to visit all the stations. There is no cost - just turn up, grab a guide and start seeking God.
Saturday 24th July - OPEN GARDENS
2.00 to 6.00 pm at 5 Willoughby Close, 180 Burton Road and 67 Victoria Street. For further details please contact Chris Adams on 567860. Proceeds for Building for the Future at Sage Cross Methodist Church & Community Centre.
Every Tuesday - COFFEE MORNINGS
9.30 to 11.30 am at the United Reformed Church
10.00 to 10:45 am at St John the Baptist RC Church, Thorpe End
10.00 to 11.15 am at Sage Cross Methodist Church
Every Friday - SHOPPERS SERVICE
11:00 am at Sage Cross Methodist Church with refreshments served from 10:30 am. The service lasts about 25 minutes, offering a quiet space in the busyness of people's lives. On the first Friday of each month the Shoppers Service is followed by a Community lunch at 12.00 noon.
